So , Right now in India 2 budget devices are getting crazy over all Indian Market.
The First One is The Moto G5 plus and
The second One is the Redmi Note 4.
So both of the devices have very much similarity (ps:not really) and both have similar performance as well.
So Without any due lets get started.
1.)THE BUILD QUALITY
Considering the build quality , I would prefer the Moto G5 Plus, its backside is made up of metal and Some day-to-day harming chores can be handled by the Moto G5 Plus.Well, but the Front screen is said to be strong but still cant say about anything happening to it.The screen is also said to be a Scratch Resistant Screen.
The Both Devices are kind en of a Slim in Looks.But Moto G5 Looks more attractive.
Whereas the Redmi Note 4 is a bit sensitive in case of back side of the Redmi note 4.The Upper part is of plastic (ps:But feels good), the middle part is made up of metal , and the lower part is also too of plastic.But the Front side has 2.5D Curved Glass does the work and doesnt let the device slip off from hands.
2.) CAMERA
As always the Camera point has been taken up by Moto G5 plus and again beaten up the Redmi Note 4.Colours are more Vivid, clear and bright on the Moto G5 Plus.It has a Rear facing camera With a 12MP Shooter but I would prefer the MotoG5 Plus for the Camera Because of Low Lighting conditions.The Moto G5 Plus is better than Redmi Note 4 considering low lighting conditions.The Moto G5 plus can record Upto 4k Video.The second/front facing Camera is of 5MP and there is only a bit of difference in the Both devices.
Whereas, The Redmi Note 4's Photos were just a bit warmer than Moto G5 plus.Redmi Note 4 has been assured that it will have a better camera sensor than that of Redmi Note 3 and its a good thing.But still 4K is lacking Behind on the Redmi Note 4.On The Redmi Note 4 as I said both the devices have similar Quality and colour exposures.
3.) PERFORMANCE
The Performance was quick on The Moto G5 plus and also there was not much lag facing on Moto G5 plus.As far considering Gaming, Moto G5 plus and the Redmi Note 4 has same Qualcomm Snapdragon 625.Which gives you a whooping fast Gaming Experience.Well the difference between the Chipsets of SnapDragon 625 and 650 is not That much.Both of them Gives you equal amount of experience.
Both Of the devices have Fingerprint sensor which works really fast and is really cool.
Regarding The Redmi Note 4 , The Redmi Note 4 Doesnt have much difference between The Moto G5 plus, except for swithcing between apps.The apps were switching more faster in The Moto G5 Plus but there was just a difference of near about 5 - 10 seconds in switching apps.And Again Moto G5 Plus takes Up the Lead.
But as far as the gaming and performance is considered both of them are equal in gaming and Doesnt lag on Many Games.
Dont buy the Chinese Variant as It has the MediaTek Processor and will Ruin your whole performance on the device.
4.) STORAGE AND RAM
Well now, on the Moto G5 Plus The Storage and RAM are Very Disappointing.The Moto G5 plus comes in two variants.The one variant with 16GB of Internal storage with 3GB Of RAM.And second variant with 32GB ON Internal space and 4GB Of RAM.
Whereas the Redmi Note 4 has Also two variants with 3GB Ram with 32GB internal and 4GB RAM and 64GB Internal.And the Redmi Note 4 has 32GB More Internal space Than that of The Moro G5 Plus.
5.) DISPLAY
The Display is a bit a crisp on the Moto G5 Plus with 430 PPi , but the screen size is smaller than that of the Redmi Note 4.The screen size is small but crisp and has good brightness in outdoor conditions.
The Display on the Redmi Note 4 Variant of 4GB Ram and 64GB Space has a Warm display, but it is made in China.And all the variants have 401Ppi and it's good and has not much differences among the Moto G5 Plus.
6.) CUSTOMER SERVICE
The Customer service obviously in India is more good of the Moto G5 Plus.As it has many of its Service Centres in India.
The Customer service of The Redmi note 4 too is good, but the replacements of specific parts and its repairing is available only in specific cities and areas.
7.) PRICE SEGMENT
The Redmi Note 4 is a Truely Budget Device Considering its Features.Compared to The Moto G5 plus, The moto g5 plus is slightly overpriced and has less features compared to Redmi Note 4.The Redmi Note 4 with 3GB ram with 32GB Internal storage space has price at 10,999Rs.And the 4GB RAM And 64 GB internal storage space variant has priced with 12,999rs.
The Moto G5 Plus Has extremely Disappoint regarding the storage space and RAM.Considering the 3GBRAM/16GB SPACE Has been priced at 14,999rs and the 4GB RAM/32 GB Storage Space has been priced at 16,999 rs.And it is not a good option if you are heavy storage space user.
THE OVERALL VERDICT :-
In case you are running out of Money or Dont want stock user experience, you may go for the Redmi Note 4.But only the camera is a bit of dull in low ligh conditions compared to Moto G5 Plus.

3GB RAM With 32GB Internal Storage space. - Rs.10,999
And
4GB RAM With 64GB Internal storage space. - Rs.12,999
The Moto G5 Plus is a Good choice if you want stock experience and Not much customizations on your device.And the camera and performance only for opening apps takes up the lead.
The Moto G5 Plus Variants -
3GB RAM With 16GB Internal Storage Space - Rs.14,999
And
4GB RAM with 32 GB Internal Storage Space - 16,999.
