Hey guys hows it going and welcome!
Alot of people meanwhile enthusiast for the Poco F1 Realised that the Poco F1 has L3 Based encryption for streaming services instead of L1!
For those who dont know the "L3" term is most of the times referred for the DRM Content suggestions which is hardware and not a software for the bummer.
And the L3 Content is most of the times for the regular playback of media on your device. For eg : the Downloaded media files in your device are running on L3 Ware whereas when you are watching Netflix or Amazon Prime or any other playback platform, it is usually encrypted for security purposes and the only people who paid for it could watch the content.
Now , if you are just a regular user and dont want to get into the all hardware and geeky stuff , i suggest you to keep it the way your device is and watch the media on 540p if you want to!
But if you are a heavy user or a netflix hardcore user then probably Poco F1 is not a device for you!
But here are a few possibilities that Xiaomi or Poco could probably do to get their users out of this thing or it will be just a hard gesture for Poco users and it might probably decrease the brand value :-
1.)Either Poco F1 calls back all of their units to their service centre just for the L3 to L1 Change , and if this recall happens then no worries for the customers because whenever a recall for a device/product is done because of the mistake of the company , the whole loss has to be paid by the company and it could probably be a warm gesture if Poco Can do it.
2.)There might be mods available. But these mods might be headache to the Customers because the customers would've have to do all the removing internal parts of the device and replacing everything and still we wont know if it might work or not!
These things might probably happen in case Poco Regrets this thing or if it was a mistake then they need to look at it because if someone was interested in a device which is extremely tight on budget, the customer probably will use torrents instead of all the streaming thing and that's probably why not many people are talking about this issue.
With that been said , YouTube works totally fine on Full HD , and there's problems only with Netflix or Amazon or hulu etc streaming services which have encryption algorithms for L1 to L3!
That's it guys , hope you liked this article!
